Hammer Curls: Arm Exercise

The hammer curls is a strength training arm exercise that can be performed in beginner to advanced workouts. You can perform this in a standing or seated position.

Keep your back straight and your belly button drawn in to support your back.

Muscles Worked

Primary Muscles: Biceps, and Forearms

What you need: A set of dumbbells.

Preparation :

  • Stand with feet shoulder width apart and feet pointing straight ahead.
  • Hold a dumbbell in each hand with your palms facing eachother.
Movement :
  • Draw belly button in.
  • Raise your forearms together.
  • Or raise alternate arms, one arm up as the other arm goes down.
  • Lower slowly and with control.
  • Repeat.
