At the peak of my heaviest weight I was 260 Lbs. Even for a male at 6'1, I had very low endurance, and a equally low self-esteem.
While attempting to play soccer with my 5 year old son I made the realization that I really needed to be in better shape. I really didn't know how to get in shape or how much weight I should loose in order to make any kind of goal.
So, I started off by researching. I went on line, bought popular fitness, magazines, and took information that I felt applied to me. I started off slow and easy with frequent walks and bike rides.
After a few months I developed a work out at my local gym that furthered my fitness goals. While I was actively working on the physical end of my path to fitness, I also kept up with information on good healthy eating.
I did not want to crash diet when I have heard so much about those no results fad diets. While eating reasonably and exercising frequently I was able to achieve a target weight loss of around 2 Lbs. per week. in 8 or 9 months I completely transformed my self.
I was energetic, and my self esteem went up 10 notches! I was getting those looks. The greatest thing was the sense of accomplishment gains from taking control and transforming myself.
